About Lin San Temple

In the early 1970s, Venerable Seang Heng (常恒法师) led a major renovation of Lin San Temple. In 1973, he officiated the "Lin San Temple Reconstruction Ceremony," marking a period of growth and vitality under his guidance. The temple gained widespread recognition, drawing devotees who came to pay respects to the Buddha and attend Buddhist teachings. Beyond this, Venerable Seang Heng was deeply involved in community and charitable efforts, including conducting prayer ceremonies, supporting orphanages and elderly homes, and providing Dharma education for children.

The Rebuild of Lin San Temple

Twenty years ago, Lin San Temple was declared unsafe and required a full rebuild. Despite challenges such as structural issues and limited funding, Venerable Seang Heng (常恒法师) remained dedicated to the project until his passing in 2017.

With strong community support, the rebuilding was successfully completed. Today, Lin San Temple (灵山寺) stands at 27 Lorong 12 Geylang as a fully air-conditioned, three-story temple, offering a serene environment with freehold columbarium niches and ancestral tablets.

A two-story-tall Buddha greets visitors in the main hall, setting a serene tone, while a rear hall houses columbarium niches and ancestral tablets arranged into Dynasty 1, 2, and 3.
