A 3-day wake (NV Longevity) covers encoffining, a Buddha altar with no Taoist elements, nightly chanting, the cortege, cremation, and ash collection. The 5-day packages add wake nights — which matters when relatives are travelling from overseas — along with a larger altar setup and more extensive floral work. The Buddhist rites themselves are the same at every tier; what you are choosing is how long the family gathers and how the hall is dressed. Ash placement and the 49-day prayers that follow are arranged separately, and can be booked at the same time.
